Eighteen Restaurant and Bar
Hiding in plain sight
A modern-day speakeasy.
Inspired by the artwork of Hannah Hoch, the identity for this speakeasy-themed restaurant comments on public policy and culture during the prohibition era. Newspapers influenced the choices of imagery in custom-made collages, as well the typography. The logo, meant to communicate a sense of ambiguity, displays both an "E" for Eighteen and the number "18."
